Don’t you think that all his songs sound very similar to each other – and mostly sound Indian or very celtic at least? I have tried to start appreciating his music as he is being hailed as a virtuoso but I fail to understand why such hype – I am no virtuoso and not even known anywhere – but I think I can play better!!

Nope, not even close to being better then Basho. The difference is actually huge, Blackshaw will be considered a great soon, but right now he is borrowing a whole lot from his inspirations. He needs to develop his own voice, much like Basho did 40 years ago.

This is one of the most beautiful songs that I have ever heard. He’s up there with Robbie Basho
